In smaller rooms and directed use, it holds its own. It targets the area right in front of it, not the entire square footage of a house. For a kitchen, bathroom, walk-in closet, home office, or bedside, it does the job a window AC would in the same footprint, without the install or the power bill.
Between 2 and 15 hours depending on the mode you run. Strong mode with the ice mist active is the shortest. Soft mode overnight is comfortably at the long end. A full charge takes about 3 hours off the included 20W adapter.
Soft mode runs at 10 dB(A), which is quieter than a whisper. On Cool mode it averages 50 dB, similar to a soft conversation. Most people run it on Soft or Cool at night without noticing.
